Doctor Seeks to Re-Vitalize Her Community

September 3, 2008

Dr. Lauren Montieth, owner of Optimal Wellness Center: A Creating Wellness Center, has been awarded the rights to distribute the highly sought after Vitalize nutritional supplement line to her clientele. Vitalize – produced by the Creating Wellness Alliance – has caught the attention of health and fitness professionals after being rated the top nutritional supplement among more than 1500 such products in North America by the recently published NutriSearch Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements.

Vitalize – which is available in Men’s, Women’s and Senior Women’s Gold formulas – skyrocketed in popularity after being the only supplement in NutriSearch’s independent lab tests to achieve a 100% score while garnering the coveted 5-star, gold medal rating.

“Vitalize is a perfect compliment to the wellness program we advocate,” said Dr. Montieth. Chiropractic care embodies physical, biochemical and psychological dimensions. Or, as we like to say, ‘Be fit. Eat right. Think well,’” she added.

We address the individual’s wellness needs and design the appropriate care program for them – all of which help the body to operate at peak efficiency ” stated Montieth. “In short, we want to impact our community by helping people take care of their bodies, so their bodies will take care of them. The Vitalize supplements take that process to another level,” she commented.

“We are very excited to be able to offer this outstanding multivitamin to our patients and the community at large,” said Dr. Montieth. “The quality of most multivitamins being offered in the marketplace is poor and unsatisfactory.  I wanted my patients to have a truly superior nutritional supplement, and one that would make up for the tremendous deficiencies in the way food is produced today.”

Dr. Montieth cited several problems with food production in today’s era of corporate farming. Over-farming robs the soil of natural nutrients that a few decades ago would have found their way into the food chain. Now, fruits and vegetables reach the supermarket devoid of the most basic nutrients—things that older Americans got as a matter of course from eating fresh produce, but that are now absent from the food we eat. Genetically altered food staples, like potatoes, tomatoes, corn and many other basics, also result in less nutritious food. Dr. Montieth also pointed out problems we create for ourselves in this hurry-up, eat-on-the-run lifestyle we lead.

“Fast food outlets are creating an overweight and undernourished society,” said Dr. Montieth. “Even the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has published an article calling for adults to take nutritional supplements. In a June 19, 2002, article, JAMA researchers said, ‘Most people do not consume an optimal amount of vitamins by diet alone . . . . It appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements’.”

“If we should be taking a good multivitamin,” Dr. Montieth added, “why not take the best multivitamin?”

When Vitalize was first created, the 3rd edition of the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements gave it a perfect 100% score, the only multiple vitamin out of more than 2000 analyzed to score 100%. In contrast, Centrum a popular multivitamin sold at most supermarkets and drugstores, scored 4%; One-a-Day multivitamins scored 6%.

Vitalize – which is available in Men’s, Women’s and Senior Women’s Gold formulas – utilizes 23 different vitamins and 27 herbal extracts during production – which takes place in a facility that is A-rated by the National Nutritional Food Association. The line is gluten, dairy and soy free.

“Aside from the quality ingredients and high manufacturing standards, what I really find appealing about Vitalize is that it is not a ‘one size fits all’ product,” noted Dr. Montieth. “Men, women, and senior women all have different needs when it comes to fueling their bodies. The Creating Wellness Vitalize product line really addressed the gender and age variabilities,” she continued.

“The way our culture produces and processes food today, it is nearly impossible for one to fulfill nutritional needs through diet alone. A well-developed, powerful supplement is a must for most – if not everyone,” concluded Dr. Montieth, who welcomes inquiries about Vitalize or any other aspect of the wellness programs offered by her office.
