Weight Loss Tips
Lose The Fat, Reclaim Your Life!
Being your ideal weight not only makes you look and feel better, but it is has a huge impact on reducing your risk for disease and more importantly, increasing your level of health. Regaining health takes willpower, discipline, knowledge and support. Unfortunately, taking a pill or having surgery does not magically give you your ideal weight. If such a magical cure existed (and was actually safe), don’t you think the world would know about it? Stop looking for the magic bullet. Start looking within yourself and your lifestyle choices.
Let me start off by saying this: packing on an extra 30 to 50 lbs as you get older is NOT normal. It may be the norm, but it is not normal. I don’t care what your doctor tells you, this is not part of the natural aging process. It is the result of poor lifestyle choices that your body cannot keep up with. The human body is truly amazing, but nothing in this world will offer continuous support if it is constantly abused. So stop abusing your temple.
A healthy body causes weight loss.
Not the other way around!

Conversations about weight loss today are always focused on the latest diet and exercise. But which ones are the best? There are many sources offering contradicting information – low carb, high protein; high carb, low fat; high fat, no sugar; and so on. Research shows that many “fad diets” are harmful to long-term health and contributes to many problems in the future such as hypothyroidism, osteoporosis, diabetes, and more. There is no magic pill and there is certainly no magic “diet”. The mass amounts of information available now leave people more confused and discouraged than ever before. If you truly want a weight loss program designed for YOU, you must, must, must … have to speak with a knowledgeable wellness coach. Again, weight loss requires knowledge and discipline. Our wellness coaches work with a trained professional doctor to provide you with all the tools you need to create a successful weight loss program customized to you that is safe and effective.
Step One. Hire a wellness team.
It is important to find out your current health status before entering a new program. Even if you do not have physical symptoms, this does not equal health. Remember, for many the first sign of heart disease is a heart attack. Having certain areas evaluated will not only guarantee a safer weight loss and wellness program, but can also shed some light on areas that may be contributing to weight gain.
We recommend checking your overall health status through:
- A comprehensive wellness assessment
- Neurotransmitter levels
- Thyroid and adrenal gland function
The cost of these tests are extremely reasonable and inexpensive. We do a baseline read of your thyroid and adrenal glands free of charge. If these come back abnormal, we order inexpensive yet very complete testing through NeuroScience. These tests are billed to your insurance.
The comprehensive wellness assessment is a must for anyone entering into a weight loss (or weight gain) program. Please contact us for our latest promotional pricing on the Creating Wellness Assessment.
The neurotransmitter levels are measured in a non-invasive and cost-effective way. Again, NeuroScience laboratories is our preferred testing center that measures these levels through urine and saliva samples that are taken at home, at your own leisure. These tests are also billed to your insurance.
Step Two. Check your current health status.
Goal setting is a necessity and makes the journey more enjoyable. You have to know where you are starting and what you are reaching for before you leap. What’s even better is that you get to celebrate smaller victories along the way. This gives you a chance to reflect on the positive changes you have made, the results you are seeing, and gets your geared up for the next step. Celebrating small victories will keep you on course and increases your likelihood that you reach your ultimate goal. Say goodbye to weight-loss programs that lead you to failure and destroy your self-esteem.
Question here is, do you want to achieve optimal wellness? Or do you just want to lose fat? What is YOUR ideal weight? How long is a healthy time frame to get there? These are all questions your wellness coach can help you answer.
Step Three. Set specific, realistic, and healthy goals.
Toxins and chemicals are rampant in our external and internal environments. Years of toxins can build up in all tissues of the body, including fat tissue. Aiding your body in purging these toxins can significantly affect weight loss in a positive way. Detox programs not only remove chemicals and toxins, but are essential in battling candidiasis. Because of the heavy intake of simple sugars in American diets the condition known as candida can result in weight gain. It may be necessary to correct a candida overgrowth before a fat loss program is begun. Incorporating a detox at the beginning of your weight loss program is an essential first step. It is also common to carry excess weight in the colon. A sensible colon cleansing program can be recommended to correct this situation.
Step Four. Do a detoxification and cleansing program.

The misinformation spoken by the medical establishment and large food companies say that cholesterol, fats, and calories make you fat. If this were true, why are we the most overweight we have ever been in human history and we have more fat-free, low-fat, and diet products available?
Low-Fat and Fat-Free is very misleading to consumers. Although “fat” content may not be as high as the regular kind, the chemicals and methods of manufacturing used to create these marvelous foods, can have disastrous consequences to your health and longevity. If man has created or altered a food product, stay away from it. This includes fake fat, hydrogenated fat, margarine, NutraSweet (also known as aspartame and Equal), processed foods, and particularly white flour. The innate intelligence of this miracle we call the human body is that it recognizes molecules found in nature. Anything that is synthetic or altered confuses your biochemistry. It is not as simple as counting calories and eliminating fat – it is more about consuming the right KINDS of fat and calories and eliminating the bad. But that is an entirely different story that you must read (by clicking here) …
Step Five. Stay away from LOW-FAT, FAT-FREE, and DIET products.
Step Six. Read food labels! Avoid bad fats (hydrogenated fats). Consume good fats.
Glucose is a sugar naturally found in the body. All sugars and carbohydrates consumed in the diet are broken down into glucose in the body. If it is not an animal product, a fat, or an oil – it is classified as a carbohydrate. When your body’s glucose levels increase, a hormone called insulin must be released from the pancreas to control unhealthy levels. Insulin causes cells to store glucose for later use. When you consume too much sugar or carbs, the insulin will signal the body to convert excess sugar into fat. Controlling sugar consumption and glucose levels will not only eliminate your chances of getting diabetes and other chronic health problems, but it will help you lose weight.
This does not mean you should eat a low-carb diet and consume “sugar-free” foods. Your body needs carbohydrates and glucose to function properly. However, it is the KIND of carbohydrates that makes a big difference. This is where the glycemic index comes in. Foods high on the glycemic index will break down into higher amounts of sugar, causing your body to secrete more insulin and store glucose as fat. Foods lower on the glycemic index will not cause such drastic fluctuations in your body. Again, this is why it is so important to have an educated coach helping to define the proper diet and food intake for YOU. Remember, we are all individuals and there is no “magic pill” or “magic diet”.
Step Seven: Reduce sugar. Eat low-glycemic foods.
Do not be fooled by most diet pills out there. Remember, there is no such thing as a “magic pill”. Many of them claim to speed up your metabolism, which may or may not be true. However, it does it at the expense of your nervous system. It kicks your nervous system into overdrive. This may be what you want for short-term weight loss, but your long-term weight loss and long-term health will suffer. Let’s use your thyroid as an example. We know the thyroid regulates metabolism. When a diet pill is consumed that over-stimulates the nervous system, the brain sends frantic, excess signals to the thyroid to work harder. Your metabolism may speed up, and you may lose weight. But your thyroid cannot work at 100 mph for long. It will eventually hibernate in an attempt to replenish itself. Then what might happen to your metabolism and total body function?
There are some “weight-loss” supplements on the market that reduce food cravings and can help speed up metabolism without stimulating the nervous system and running your body into the ground. Contact us for recommendations.
Same goes for pharmaceuticals for weight loss. Most people remember years ago when the natural supplement ephedra was banned. What most people are unaware of is that the pharmaceutical version, ephedrine, was not. Ephedra is the natural version. Ephedrine is the dangerous, toxic, chemical version. Does this perhaps show how the FDA protects the pharmaceutical industry? Moral of the story, you cannot trust the FDA and Big Pharma. Ever wondered why every 5 minutes on every channel, you see a drug advertisement? Everytime you pick up a magazine, listen to the radio, read the newspaper, what do you see? Ever wondered why there are no homeopathic, natural supplements, or even ads for chiropractic? Big Pharma pays top dollars to buy-out the media and the FDA looks the other way. Big Pharma also disapproves of anything that is not pro-medicine. In my opinion, this violates the very laws that started this country.
On to surgery or needles …. think liposuction or LipoDissolve will make it all better? Think again. The real culprit is the fat cells that are way down deep, where Lipo does not go. You must weigh the risks and benefits of invasive treatments, both short-term and long-term.
Step Eight: Stay away from pharmaceutical and most nutritional “diet pills,” surgery, and needle injections that are harmful to the body and are more likely to leave you more overweight in the long run.
