What is Kinesio-Taping?
Since Dr. Kenzo Kase developed Kinesio Taping Method over 25 years ago, it has taken the rehabilitative and sports medicine world by storm and has quickly become the “platinum” standard for therapeutic taping. It is an elastic, 100% cotton, latex-free patented tape that treats many different problems involving muscles, tendons, and even nerves.
This innovative method involves taping over and around muscles in order to give support while maintaining full range of motion. This allows you to participate in normal physical activity with functional assistance. Professional and amateur sports teams have discovered this cutting-edge technique and have been using it on many big name athletes such as Kerri Walsh in the 2008 Olympic Games, Lance Armstrong, Serena Williams, and many more.
What makes Kinesio-tape superior?
It is a special, patented kind of tape that not only supports problem areas, but also promotes healing at the same time. Traditional braces typically do not allow full movement of the tissue and therefore do not allow proper drainage of toxins that can accumulate. The more toxic an area, the slower the recovery time.

Kinesiotape allows full movement of the tissues while still offering the needed support. The specially designed tape gently lifts the skin and promotes lymphatic flow for 24 hours and increases blood flow through the tissues, increasing your recovery time drastically. It also affects the activation of the neurological system, having a positive impact on nerves, muscles and organs.
How does Kinesio-tape help?
Kinesio Taping utilizes the body’s natural healing process by activating the neurological and circulatory systems. When a muscle or tendon is inflamed or swollen, the space between the skin and the muscle becomes compressed. This compression restricts proper flow of lymph. This affects the pain receptors beneath the skin, causing the brain/patient to experience pain.
Kinesio-tape offers therapeutic results of:
- Correcting muscle function
- Improving circulation
- Pain Relief
- Repositioning of the subluxated joint
Will wearing the Kinesio-tape interfere with my life?
Absolutely not. This is part of the appeal. You have full motion, allowing you to continue with your daily routines as normal with added support. The tape is not effected by water or showers, so you can remain clean during your recovery time! Ice and other therapies can still be used in conjunction with Kinesio-Tape.
How long do I wear Kinesio-tape?
Typically, the tape is worn for 3-5 days at a time. The total length of treatment will vary from case to case.
Can I get Kinesio-tape?
