What to Expect During Your First Visit
We strive to make visits to our office pleasant, prompt, and purposeful. In order to serve you efficiently, it is important that you undergo our new patient procedures outlined below. Patient Forms
All new patients are required to fill out two important pieces of information:
New Patient Intake Forms may be downloaded here, filled out at home on your own time, and brought into our office during your 1st visit.
Personal Health History Questionnaire may be filled out online through our secure medical records site. Please contact us to get your required 4 digit pin number to complete your registration and questionnaire.
Consultation
Many patients seeking care in our office are looking for solutions to a health concern or condition. We call this a “problem-focused” case and highly recommend starting your first visit with a one-on-one consultation with one of our doctors or practitioners to discuss your health concerns and history, goals and expectations, and to determine whether our office is the right place for you. During the consultation, we will be able to determine what services or testing will best meet your needs to achieve your desired goals. For those people looking to schedule a particular service without meeting with a member of our team first are not obligated to schedule a consultation.
Examination
Following your consultation, we will advise you of any additional testing or procedures that we feel are necessary or helpful to fully evaluate and assist you in your wellness goals. We offer state-of-the-art technology that is so sensitive that it can detect problems before symptoms may even be present. It evaluates how stress in your life is affecting your body and health. These are non-invasive and completely safe, as they only read what is coming off of your body. These are often the foundation that we use to guide and build your personal road map to wellness and is required for anyone seeking Chiropractic care in our office.
Chiropractic patients will also receive a structural and postural evaluation prior to any adjustments to determine the best technique and type of care for you and your body. We may also take digital photos of posture, facial symmetry, tongue and fingernails, or the eyes. We offer basic and comprehensive new patient evaluations to match health goals or financial expectations.
Occasionally, severe and complicated cases require further evaluation or immediate attention. We do refer out to other trusted physicians and urgency care centers when needed.
Lab Testing
We may recommend additional testing that requires urine, hair, saliva, stool or blood samples. All testing costs and procedures will be explained in detail. Some of these tests are covered through insurance and may be completed at home, in office, or at a local lab. The doctor or practitioners will advise you if there is a need for additional procedures such as neurotransmitter, hormone, food sensitivities, heavy metals, vitamin and mineral levels, fatty acid (omega) ratios, thyroid, cholesterol or others. Further testing is only ordered if necessary. We have partnered with the following laboratories to bring you top-notch, cutting-edge evaluation and treatment.
Report of Findings
For our members who opt for a more comprehensive approach, we highly recommend attending a follow-up visit where you and the doctor or practitioner will discuss your results; this is called your “Report of Findings“. We often encourage people to bring a spouse or partner in health to absorb all the information with you and support you when you are away from our center. During your report of findings, we will discuss your examination and lab results and whether or not your case has been accepted. We will also discuss the most frequently asked questions our patients ask:
- Can you help me?
- How are you going to help me?
- How long will it take?
- How much is it going to cost?
Your recommended health care program will be explained to you in detail with the doctor. Our financial policy will be discussed and any financial concerns will be addressed.
Treatment
Care programs typically begin after the Report of Findings. Again, everyone is different and your treatment will reflect that. If chiropractic care is part of your care program, please be aware that we offer many adjusting techniques to fit the needs of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, and even for people who prefer not to be “popped”.
Each visit will build on another and we will give you lifestyle advice during your time in the office that will help you get the best possible results in the shortest period of time at the least possible expense.
Your frequency in care will gradually be reduced based on your individual progress based on how you feel and how you are functioning. Remember, an absence of symptoms does not equal healthy. The Insight technology allows us to see how you are functioning, so frequent re-exams will be done to track your progress. When it comes to your health and your care, we do not guess. We use sophisticated technology and testing.
