ADHD

ADHD is a common behavioral disorder that affects an estimated 8% to 10% of school-age children. Boys are about three times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with it. The AMA states there is no test that can determine the presence of ADHD, therefore a diagnosis depends on a complete evaluation.
The classic signs that parents and teachers notice:
- Inattention, hyperactivity and being easily distracted
- Difficulty sitting still and concentrating
- Inability to control impulsive thoughts and behaviors
- Easily distracted by noises and activities
- Always moving—fingers, hands, arms, feet or legs
Because ADHD appears as a neurological disorder, an evaluation of the nervous system is extremely important. The OWC offers state-of-the-art technology used to evaluate the nervous system in a pain-free, non-invasive manner. Read more on the Insight Millenium Subluxation Station scanning technology. There is a high correlation between subluxations in the upper neck and children with ADHD.
We also offer complete neurotransmitter testing through NeuroScience. Brain chemicals, called neurotransmitters, are crucial in proper brain function and balance. Neurotransmitters can be measured, and with this information, Dr Lauren can recommend a program that is customized for your child.
If your child does indeed have neurological disturbances, the OWC can help. Research proves that chiropractic care helps reduce nervous system disturbances and subluxations. Many parents who want a natural, non-drug solution for their child have found chiropractic care helpful, even miraculous. If there is chemical imbalances found, natural amino acid therapy is a much safer solution than pharmaceutical chemicals.
I would like to share this video with you. I first saw it in Colorado at a wellness training program. To see an entire room full of grown, professional doctors crying while watching this speaks measures. This is real. This is fact. This is what is happening to our children. Think before you medicate your child.

OWC Testing and Care for ADHD/ADD
The OWC will first complete a thorough consultation with you and your child. During the consultation we will determine possible causes or contributing factors to your child’s health concerns. We evaluate the child’s diet, neurological development, birthing process, vaccination history, and other lifestyle habits. When we have gathered the necessary information, we will complete a nervous system evaluation utilizing the Insight Millenium Subluxation Station. This will locate areas of interference and stress in your child’s nervous system. There is a high correlation between interference in the first vertebra in the neck called the Atlas and ADHD.
If necessary, we will then order further testing to evaluate neurotransmitter levels and/or food sensitivities . Neurotransmitter levels are tested through the urine, so testing is completely painless and does not involve needles or blood work. Food sensitivities and gluten intolerance can be evaluated through bloodwork (if you choose to forgo the elimination diet). Testing is typically covered by your insurance company and are extremely affordable.
Once we have had a chance to evaluate and interpret all of the results, we will sit down with you and your family and go over everything we discovered, explain to you what it all means, and present a customized treatment for your child, and the costs associated with treatment. All with safe, natural solutions with a very high success rate. For more information on what we do, please contact us!
Chiropractic Treatment and Research

Chiropractic research has found links between subluxations and ADHD. The nervous system is involved in every aspect of living and when this vital system is compromised, a variety of problems can manifest, including learning difficulties and behavioral problems. Chiropractic understands that the body can heal itself given the right environment.
Chiropractic also believes ADHD is not due to a Ritalin shortage. Instead, we look for disturbances in your child’s nervous system. We commonly see subluxations in the upper neck. Removing subluxations through chiropractic adjustments enhances the function of the nervous system. This will allow your child’s brain and body to fully communicate … healing itself with its innate intelligence.

Medical Treatment and Research
According to medical research, the cause of ADHD is unknown. There are no definitive tests to diagnose ADHD. And finally, they do not know the long-term side effects of the medications given for treatment. One should ask, how can you “treat” the unknown?
The most common treatment is drugging the child with a Class 2 psychotropic drug, methylphenidate. More commonly known as Ritalin. Ritalin is a controlled substance similar to amphetamines and cocaine which has a known side effects of personality changes and permanent changes to the brain. Other treatment options commonly recommended are not even FDA approved to treat ADHD. Not to mention the long list of side effects that come along with any prescription drug.
Would you ever give your child a lobotomy? The surgical procedure where they remove a portion of the brain? Of course not. That would be now be considered child abuse and absurd. If you are one of the millions of parents or teachers recommending or giving children psychotropic drugs, you are essentially giving these children a CHEMICALIZED FRONTAL LOBOTOMY. That’s right. It is a fact that these drugs shut off neurological pathways in the frontal lobe – the part of the brain that makes your child unique and human. It is responsible for anger and love, prejudice and generosity, fear and hope.
If that isn’t scary enough for you, would you push your child to walk into a school and shot 14 students and teachers? Eight of the 13 school shooters around the country were on psychotropic drugs during the time of the shooting. The other 5 had been on medications in the past. There is a high correlation between behavioral modification drugs and tragic crimes like these school shootings.
So does it make sense to poison receptors in the brain and body to stop normal, healthy functions? Instead of addressing causes of problems, prescription drugs treat surface symptoms that typically result in more health problems and tragedies down the road. Don’t believe me? There’s plenty of scientific, factual research that back these statements.
