You’ve heard it before, I will say it again … children are our future.

The fact is chiropractic works and children are people who have nervous system and spines. Any parent will agree that children play hard, and fall hard. Some sources say that 50% of all children have a major fall from their changing area or bed by age three. By age six, the average child has experienced over 1,000 bumps, falls, and traumas. So what do you think? Does your child’s body and nervous system experience stress? Isn’t this the most important time for nervous system development? Don’t you want your child to have optimal function of this very important system as they grow?

Is chiropractic safe for children? ABSOLUTELY. Force is greatly decreased, and most adjustments are made using less pressure than what is used to test the ripeness of a tomato. Treatment is no more harmful to an infant than a basic physical examination from the pediatrician.

We can also examine and monitor the growth of your child’s body, monitor even the most subtle changes in your child’s nervous system before symptoms occur, prevent and correct scoliosis, address important nutritional needs, offer correct exercise programs, and help prepare your child for a healthy adulthood.

I always tell my patients, it is much easier to keep a child healthy than to fix a broken adult! Start instilling healthy habits while they are young and impressionable. Children should not learn that a pill can fix everything and is needed every time something is wrong. It is important to help them understand that the amazing power that made them, is also what heals them when they are not well. Teaching healthy habits may just save their life someday!
