Personal Note from Dr. Lauren …

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website.  We hope you have found useful information and encouragement to take the action steps NOW to create more wellness in yours and your family’s lives.  Although chiropractic has been viewed by the public as a treatment for back and neck pain, chiropractic is actually the best kept secret in the world today and is, what I feel to be the missing link in health care today.

I am asked quite frequently why I decided to be a chiropractor.  The answer is simple – there is no other profession in the world that does what we do and knows what know.  I was raised with “alternative” “medicine” and a “hippy” mind-set that pills don’t cure people.  Instead of grabbing a bottle of Tylenol and rushing to the doctor for a prescription for antibiotics, my parents taught me at a young age that the body has an intelligence to it that no man or doctor can ever beat and in many cases, if we let the body takes its natural course, we will be better off.

When I was diagnosed with asthma as a child, my parents did everything they knew to help control it.  Diet.  Supplements.  Keeping me active.  Positive affirmations.  Nothing seemed to help.  Finally, I was put on an inhaler.  Putting a young child on a lifetime of steroids to be inhaled straight into the lungs was devastating.  But it was the only thing that helped me feel comfortable.

After a car accident at age 11, my mother started taking me with her to the chiropractor to get checked for subluxations.  Within a matter of months, we realized that my asthma had virtually disappeared.  I liked it because I hated the taste of the chemicals on my throat, my parents were ecstatic because they were no longer feeding their child liquid poison that destroyed my immune system and significantly increased my risk of osteoporosis.  I could be a normal, healthy kid again.  Why?  CHIROPRACTIC.  To this day, I still get adjusted every week and I’ve never felt better.

I get the importance of a healthy mind and body and was raised in my family’s health food store, Georgetown Market. It has been family owned and operated since 1973. Rick, my father, has been researching and studying nutrition for more than 37 years. My mother, Ginny, brought knowledge from the spiritual aspect and really grasped the mind-body connection. I took my first Reiki course from my mom when I was a teenager and have been developing my spirituality ever since.  The combination of what I have learned from my parents has helped me grow into someone that greatly values my own health and spiritual growth.

I believe in building strong, lifetime relationships with my patients and have a burning passion to create a truly healthy community, country, and world.  The passion started with my parents and has grown through many years by my many encounters with other leaders in the wellness industry.  I have and will dedicate my life to spreading the wellness message to as many people as I can possibly reach.

It is a pleasure and an honor to be able to work with the wonderful people I do. By offering natural and safe solutions to many common conditions ranging from the typical neck and back pain that most chiropractors see every day, all the way to adrenal fatigue and thyroid cancer, I get to work with some truly amazing people and cases. I believe that knowledge is power and needless to say, my patients, my loved ones, and myself are becoming more powerful every day. I love what I do and I love coaching others back to true health and happiness.

Life … is a journey. Health … is a process. Wellness … is a choice. Be informed when making decisions about your health. Do you understand your “diagnosis”? Does the diagnosis make sense? Does the treatment make sense to you and your philosophies? Is the person taking care of your health, walking the talk? Where is their true interest and focus? Ask questions. Demand answers. You deserve them. Understand what you and your body is going through … it is then that you can make a truly educated decision. Nobody else can be blamed for your own health decisions. You decide what happens to you.

There are many roads to health, and many roads to illness. It is inevitable that you are going one way or the other. Question is, which way are you going? And how quickly are trying to get there?

There are many great healers with a wealth of knowledge. Find your wellness team and begin your journey. You will not regret it. I would be honored to serve as a member of your team and promise to always have your best interest at heart.

Yours in health,
